Ductless Heating and Cooling Systems have numerous potential applications in residential and commercial buildings. They are a good choice for retrofit structures, room additions, and small tenant housing, where extending ductwork is not feasible. Like central heating and cooling systems, ductless systems have two main components: an outdoor condenser, and an indoor air-handling unit linked by a power cable, tubing, and drain pipe encased in conduit. Because of the two distinct parts that typically make up a ductless heating and cooling system, they are often referred to as mini split systems.
Due to ductless cooling and heating systems ability to directly deliver temperature-controlled air to a specific zone; they are as much as 50% more energy-efficient over traditional forced-air systems.

Indoor air quality can actually be lower than the air outdoors. Ductless systems offer easy to clean multi-stage filtration that can greatly reduce dust, bacteria, allergens, and other particulates in the air.
Ductless heating and cooling systems, also know as mini-split systems, only require a small hole in a wall to pass conduit through. Other zone specific systems, like window systems, require a much larger hole.
Ductless systems deliver air directly to specific zones and only require mounting and access to electricity. This makes them uniquely more flexible for home additions, new construction, and high density living.
Ductless systems cool and heat specific zones, eliminating temperature loss along ductwork. They also use an advanced R410A refrigerant lessening the impact on the environment throughout its lifecycle.
